or… the body is a manifestation of our true nature or God consciousness. I am not my body, but in order for my authentic self to manifest in this physical world, the body must be cleaned, cared for, nourished, and held sacred. one practice that I use daily is reiki. Sending high frequency energy to the body uplifts, restores, cleanses, and clears the natural energy system. when the energy system is clear and vibrant, the pure consciousness which we are, can be made manifest and our life purposes fulfilled. what practices do you use to honor your physical body?

I am contemplating the idea that I am not my body, my thoughts, my emotions, etc. If I am not, what is my connection to them? If I am the essence beneath the body, mind, and spirit, can I command my body? my mind? Can I transform behaviors, transmute thoughts, or use the energy available to me to create the reality I seek?

This is a question I am asked by those who have been practicing for some time. When I am asked this, my first question is, “why do you feel the need to go deeper?” Let the desire to go deeper be the practice of the meditation. Ask the questions of why, and simply see what comes up? Perhaps you’ll notice that in contemplating your desire, you find the depth you’re seeking. Another question that I might ask is, how do I know I’m not going “deep” What does “deep” even mean? do I have preconceived ideas or expectations? am I attempting to control my practice? am I acting as creator or witness? does asking cause anxiety, worry, agitation? why? When you know yourself, and are comfortable with the unpleasant, this feeling of deepness just comes. It’s just present. why? Because we’re already there…

I read the following statement and thought it intriguing. I do believe that we are more than we believe ourselves to be, and I believe that our unique personalities do aid in our development and fulfillment of our unique paths and sacred callings. This statement comes form Christopher Sartain in his book, "The sacred science of yoga and the 5 koshas." "Personality is merely a shell that allows us to grow inside spirituality while executing our roles and karmic duties here on earth. It is temporary and has no real permanent existence." If we are not even our personality, who are we? What are we?

Spiritual bypass is the tendency to use spiritual practices, such as meditation, to awaken consciousness and awareness in the hopes of eliminating physical, emotional, and psychological pain. This is done because it is difficult to open and cleanse those wounds. Those who experience this phenomena of spiritual bypass, soon realize that meditation is not bringing about the healing that is desired. Rather, it creates a divide between the evolving consciousness/spirit and the unhealed ego. This division is dangerous as it continues to grow bigger and can eventually lead to serious psychological distress. spiritual practices, including meditation, ARE NOT therapy. If one desires healing, they should use techniques designed healing. If one desires awakened consciousness and spiritually, they should use techniques designed for such. it is my experience and belief that healing should come before or in sync with spirituality.
